Meeting with the High Commissioner on National Minorities of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation

Within the framework of his visit to the Republic of Serbia and the institutions responsible for the national minority issues, the High Commissioner on National Minorities of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe, H.E. Kairat Abdrakhmanov, accompanied by assistants Ms River Hustad and Ms Elena Gjoreska, visited Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia on 25th October.

During discussions with Ms Snežana Lakčevic, Assistant Director in the Sector for Social Statistics and Aleksandaa Jovanović from the Division for the Census of Populationj, he was informed about the statistical aspects of the national minorities issues and on the developments since his last visit to the Republic of Serbia. Special attention during the meeting was paid to the Census of Population, households and Dwellings 2022, currently underway, and to the treatment of the national minorities during the preparations and rollout of the Census.
