November 6-8, 2024, Niš, Workshop "Results of census simulation based on administrative registers, with special reference to population and dwellings coverage”.

The Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia organized a workshop titled "Results of census simulation based on administrative registers, with special reference to population and dwellings coverage" in Niš from November 6 to 8, 2024, as a part of the post-census activities outlined in IPA 2018 Project. In addition to employees from SORS, the workshop was attended by representatives from the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, the Ministry of Interior, the Central Registry of Compulsory Social Insurance, the Secretariat for Public Revenues of the City of Belgrade, and the Office for IT and E-Government. The results obtained by comparing 2022 Census data with data from administrative sources, by municipalities/cities and settlements, were displayed. The workshop was extremely useful both for SORS and for representatives of institutions responsible for managing administrative databases. Information was exchanged, specific problems were identified, and constructive suggestions were made for improving the usability of administrative data for statistical purposes.
